What is SPA?

Welcome to the SPA student blog – a resource for student planners at the University of South Florida. If you are visiting for the first time, please take the time to explore , there is an abundance of information on the latest trends, upcoming events and current affairs ongoing in the Tampa Bay region and in the planning world in general.

Mission:

The Student Planning Association at the University of South Florida fosters professional and academic enrichment within a community of urban planning students, planning-advocates and professional planners. We provide opportunities for community involvement, cultivate relationships with other departments within the university, local planning organizations and agencies, professional planning organizations, and generate pride and comradery within the Department of Geography, Environment & Planning and the Urban & Regional Planning Program. SPA@USF is a registered student organization with the American Planning Association and the University of South Florida. If you are a USF student with an interest in planning, we invite you to join our organization. Find us in Blackboard under the “Student Life” tab and “like” us on facebook.
