[re]stitch Urban ideas competition! April 13-14 in Downtown Tampa!

Please join us for (re)stitch TAMPA:

[re]stitch TAMPA, an international ideas competition, is coming to a close. The competition, which launched September 1st, has seen submissions from around the world that reveal the power of ecology and landscape infrastructure to redefine the interface between a city and its river. Come join us, Friday, April 13th, 2012 to celebrate the winners of [re]stitch Tampa. Festivities will begin at 3pm with lectures from our world renowned jurors at the USF CAMLS building located at 124 S. Franklin Street. including Juhani Pallasmaa, Charle Waldheim, Chris Reed, Chad Oppenheim and Margaret Crawford. A Gallery reception will follow at 5pm in the USF CAMLS lobby, upon which the winners of [re]stitch TAMPA will be announced! Keynote lecture to follow at 7:30pm in the CAMLS auditorium.

Schedule of Events:

Friday, April 13th, 2012
3:00-5:30 lectures by out of town jurors-Charles Waldheim, Chris Reed, Chad Oppenheim and Margaret Crawford in the auditorium of USF CAMLS.
5:30-6:15 Reception begins in lobby of USF CAMLS with competition panels.
Anticipated audience:community stakeholders, constituents, city officials, interested citizens, developers, students from USF, competition participants, media.
6:15-Mayor of Tampa/City officials make introductory comments

6:30-Jurors make comments and then announce winners.

7:30-8:30 Lecture-Juhani Pallasmaa
